CVS Caremark - Delay in sending prescription

This is the third time I have had to call CVS Caremark regarding a delay in shipping my Rx.The times before, they were able to expedite.

On 9/26 my Rx was in process and I called and told them, I would be out of my medicine on 9/30 so I need them to ship asap. I asked them why every 90 days my Rx is late. After a call on 9/26, 9/27, and 9/28, they still have not shipped my Rx. They promised to expedite and their site even says the Rx mails 1-2 days after processing.

I get different answers each time and one customer service rep even said I didn't have a prescription, which I had to tell her yes I did as you were supposed to ship it to me.

They told me too bad and I would have to pay $109 out of pocket if I needed my medicine on time, which of course I do.I will never use their service again....Beware of their incompetence, it's not worth your health.

Did they then ask you why you wait every 90 days to refill? Usually you can refill early, about 75 days in to the RX, to allow for processing & shipping. Allows read the "refill by" date on your bottle.

My CVS Caremark prescription request forms state that the customer should allow 7 to 10 business days for their medication to be delivered. I sent my last one in November 21st. It took until the 29th for it to be processed and sent out. I tracked it online and it was in the USPS sorting facility in Wilkes Barr Pennsylvania on the 30th, then it went to Lehigh PA and did not leave that sorting facility until December 6th (I think it was longer), it showed up in Champaign IL on December 12th and arrived at Industry IL (my post office) on December 14th. So, to be clear, I sent it November 21 and it took 23 days to be delivered! Wow!! That was certified mail through the postal service and cost my mail order pharmacy about 9 dollars to send it that way. Amazing!
