Raising Prescription Costs For Not Using CVS

I left CVS because of the 2 day turnaround to fill a prescription or an hour wait time. Horrible customer service and the staff ignores phone calls so you can never get an answer or know if a prescription is ready without a trip to the location and waiting in line.

So I found a great pharmacy at my local grocery store without more then 1 person wait and they always answer calls. I even received a Christmas card signed by all the staff. But one month at a time, I would receive a letter from CareMark saying that a prescription would need to return to CVS and be filled by mail order to continue at the current savings or they would raise my cost or stop coverage altogether. Each month I would receive a new letter on another prescription they would stop covering if I did not return to CVS.

When I tried to call CareMark and see if they would allow an exception, I would only get an at-home worker who would note my concern but I would never get a reply or a lower price. To date, I get better pricing with GoodRX on 6 of my 8 prescriptions.

About 50% of my take home income is now used to pay medical and prescriptions and that's with insurance. This should be illegal.

Went to this company this month. Service is horrible.

Everything is being labeled "Prior Authorization" which never happened with my first drug company. Had pharmacist call them; was on hold for over an hour with no answer. I ended up paying for one out of pocket because I had to have it prior to surgery. The second was only approved for a seven-day supply.

Problem is, I only take it once every two weeks. I called customer service this morning to get straight; was placed on hold for over 20 minutes and then disconnected.

Several subsequent calls were also disconnected. Wish I could rate them a Zero.

Called to stop meds delivery after a family member passed ( long After they were notified of the passing..) yet they kept coming along with bills. Customer services was LESS than friendly or sympathetic much prefer a company with a nice friendly helpful staff. Thumbs down.

This is absolutely the worst prescription insurance plan I have ever had. My company used to have a great plan until they were bought by a bigger company who forced us to CVS Caremark.

The customer service is terrible. They don't do 90 day prescriptions.

I have better results paying out of pocket using GoodRX. I get what I need at a better price.

I was charged 80$ more than my usual piece. I expressed it was dr error and I could. Ot afford the medication. My words went to deaf ears as they said they have rules that could not be changed and they would not call my Dr and the dr would not answer their task. SonInthe patient am screwed. To make up that 80 dollar difference if I can’t afford to buy my meds it will be 2 yrs to make up that difference of not taking my medications.
