I'm on several non-opiod meds for chronic pain due to low back damage. Have been for more than 10 years.

One of these meds is Celecoxib. Yet every year it is a struggle to go through this prior approval process that involves Caremark and my Dr's office. The Dr has written the prescription so I really see no value in them having to go through an additional step every year to basically say "Yes, I gave him a prescription." Caremark has done nothing to autimate this and it still requires a phone call from the Dr's office and often repeated nagging on my part.

That they should create some sort of exception for long term usage or automate the process better apparently has not dawned on Caremark. One would almost believe they are hoping you get frustrated enough to pay out of pocket and don't bother to try to get them to pay.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Eliminate Prior Approvals for prescribed drugs..
